‘​Farewell to the Night’ looks at fatherhood as an existential journey, full of contradictions, inner struggles, and constant change. it reflects a new way of being, where responsibility coexists with disquiet, and vulnerability is bound to tenderness and unconditional love. At the same time, the photographic series places fatherhood in the here and now, within a fragile and uncertain world and inside a new emerging reality where the values and beliefs we once relied on seem to be falling apart. In this light, ‘Farewell to the Night’ acts not only as an emotional topography of a father’s inner world, but also an imagined safe space, a quiet, protective place for him and his child to hold on to.
