Once a Volkswagen/Audi dealership in a small town north of Berlin, Germany, Autohaus Nord is now selling mostly flower pots and other bargains. It is one example of the vast number of relics and oddities secreted by a car biased economy in post wall Germany.
My series Autohaus Nord assembles images of this Autoland—which Germany has named itself—revealing the friction between human intention and the actual features of the landscape.
