Born from a sense of play, but informed by and situated within a history of Land art these images document a series of interventions in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Due to the ephemeral nature of these pieces, each photograph becomes a unique document of both the space and the time I have spent in it. As time passes these spaces are claimed back by the earth. The photographs allow these sculptural and performative works to live on, they serve as documents to physical acts which may last mere seconds, but in doing so become integral to the work itself. As the interventions cease to exist as I created them, the photographs become the work.
