“The desire to fall with eyes wide open” is composed of 22 imagens and one piece of text. It is an essay about the perception of more subtle worlds.
The research that generated this essay comes from an experience of inadequacy. When suddenly the world order, the objective reality, the references of surface, all break loose, a sensation of oddity, of non-belonging, occupies all the visual field.
But before the canvas in which a web of delusions resides, grows the perception of an interior self. The memory of oneself requires some distance from the everyday, so that contemplation and a conscious encounter with one’s own essence might thrive, capable of making us experience the reconciliation between intangible and tangible, the visible and the invisible.
Where do such worlds gather?
“The desire to fall with eyes wide open” aims to find the image of the naked present, the meeting point between two complementary realities.
