These collages are taken from a body of work titled ‘Possible Disasters’ that I made over the course of a year or so. Drawn from a disperate range of sources; contemporary magazines, old books, things I’ve found, things I’ve photographed, the individual collages are small moments of fixity in a larger process of breaking apart and bringing together. They are a cult of fragments that overlap and intermingle, tracing out and weaving in shapes and contours that suggest themselves in the original images and then repeat; lurking and leaking through to subsequent arrangements.
